An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading providers of supported living care services for people with learning disabilities. The organisation has a clear focus of empowering adults with Learning Disabilities to live as independently as possible.
You do not need to have previous experience as a support worker, but you must have a genuine desire to want to help and support others. It is essential that you are a car owner and we currently have positions in the Bournemouth & Poole Area.
We require applicants to be flexible with regards to shifts and hours you can work as care is not a Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm job.

Main duties and responsibilities;

? Whilst delivering services, you will support and enable people to maximise their own potential and independence.
? You must feel comfortable with delivering personal and intimate care and be able to do so in a manner that is sensitive to the persons need for dignity and privacy.
? Operating within a Multi-Disciplinary Team, you must be able to work alongside and in partnership with other professionals, carers and users of services.
? You will monitor and evaluate person centred plans, to ensure that the person at the centre of the service is reaching their desired goals and furthering personal development.
? You will have the ability to respond flexibly, positively and successfully to the ever changing circumstances of the person???s lifestyle and the delivery of the Service.

Successful applicants will be given a full and comprehensive induction and training and you will undertake ???shadow??? shifts which is a chance to work with a skilled staff member until you feel comfortable you can complete a shift alone.
