An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading providers of supported living care services for people with learning disabilities. The organisation has a clear focus of empowering adults with Learning Disabilities to live as independently as possible.

Our Learning disabilities client is looking for a Service Manager to join their existing management team and head up their Poole, Bournemouth & Christchurch Area locations.

Main duties and responsibilities;

To liaise with the Operations Manager to manage your assigned services, rota management duties and staff team safely and effectively, ensuring the delivery of services is in line with Organisational Policies and Procedures, client service and funding obligations and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations and regulations.
To maintain and develop close and professional links with other professionals both internally and externally ensuring the delivery of high quality support services in line with the clients philosophy of “Community Inclusion through Enablement”.
Overseeing the daily management and running of the assigned support services through the effective use of the Rota and other management systems.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the assigned services provided and in collaboration with your staff team improve, monitor and maintain delivery of services consistent with national trends and legislation.
Plan and implement changes to improve service delivery as guided by the Operations Manager.
Liaise and negotiate with all external agencies and Care Managers e.g. Social Services, PCT, CLDT etc. ensuring relationships are maintained to the highest level.
Regular communication with the Senior Management Team to develop objectives and plans for services. Attend all weekly communications meetings with the Operations Manager and Management Team members.
Regular meetings with the Senior Support Workers of assigned services ensuring all appropriate information is cascaded and delivery monitored.
Maintain services to budgeted standards via matrices provided by the Operations Manager presented at weekly communications meeting.
To participate in the on call rota, one week in every three weeks.
